History
Historical Background of GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions
GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions is an international evangelism and discipleship organization that was founded in 2021 in Kigali, Rwanda. The ministry was initiated by Apostle Robert Ndemezo, a visionary leader with a deep passion for the Great Commission. From its inception, GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions has been committed to transforming lives through the power of the Gospel and nurturing believers into devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
The name “GURA UKURI,” which translates to “Buy the Truth,” reflects the organization’s foundational belief in the uncompromising truth of God’s Word. This truth serves as the driving force behind its mission to make disciples, starting in Rwanda and extending to the very ends of the earth, in alignment with Jesus’ mandate in Matthew 28:19-20.
Since its founding, the organization has experienced significant growth and has expanded its impact beyond Rwanda. Today, GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions operates actively in multiple countries across Africa and Europe, including: Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Congo, Belgium, Germany, Mali, Malawi, Gambia, Zambia, and Ethiopia.
At the heart of the organization’s mission is a primary focus on reaching unreached people groups, communities that have had little to no exposure to the Gospel. GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions is deeply committed to making disciples among these populations, equipping them with biblical teachings, and empowering them to become agents of transformation within their own contexts.
Through evangelistic outreach, leadership training, and strategic discipleship initiatives, GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions continues to serve as a global beacon of faith, truth, and transformation.
