Faith Statement

GURA UKURI WORLDWIDE MISSIONS STATEMENT OF FAITH

GURA UKURI Worldwide Missions is a faith-based organization committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfilling the Great Commission. Rooted in the Word of God, we live by His teachings and commands.

  1. The Trinity:

GURA UKURI believes in one Eternal God revealed in three persons—Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit—each playing a unique role in divine unity.

  1. Jesus Christ:

We affirm Jesus is fully God and fully man, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory. He is our eternal advocate and the fulfillment of God’s promises.

  1. The Authority of the Bible:

The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word and our ultimate guide. As Proverbs 23:23 says, we value and uphold its truth in all we do.

  1. Salvation:

Salvation comes through repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and a committed life aligned with God’s will, restoring us to right relationship with Him.

  1. Mission Mandate:

We pursue the Great Commission by reaching unreached groups, making disciples, and letting Jesus live His life through us.

  1. Teamwork:

We believe in unity and collaboration, reflecting the harmony of the Trinity, knowing God’s work is accomplished best together.

  1. Evangelism:

Evangelism is passionately sharing the Gospel to invite others into a transformative relationship with Christ and to experience His salvation.

  1. Discipleship and Training:

Discipleship is central to our mission—training believers to grow in Christ, serve others, and expand God’s kingdom.

  1. Indigenous Churches:

We establish churches that are:

  • Self-Governing: Locally led and decision-making.
  • Self-Propagating: Actively evangelizing and discipling.
  • Self-Supporting: Financially independent through local resources.
  1. Water Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ:

We practice baptism in Jesus’ name (Acts 2:38) as a symbol of our death to sin and new life in Christ.

  1. The Role of the Church:

The Church is Christ’s body, called out to make disciples. It gathers anywhere, often in homes (Rom 16:5), and spreads the Gospel globally.

  1. Empowerment of the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit empowers believers to serve and witness, evidenced by speaking in tongues. We rely on His strength to fulfill our mission.

  1. Commitment to Global Mission:

We are dedicated to reaching all nations with the holistic Gospel by planting indigenous, autonomous, self-governing, self-propagating, and self-supporting churches.

Conclusion:

GURA UKURI stands firm in God’s truth, living in righteousness, holiness, and love. Through the Holy Spirit and Scripture, we aim to make disciples of all nations and establish God’s Kingdom on earth.
